NEWS CENTER - According to the 10-month violence tally compiled by JINNEWS, 316 women were murdered, 170 women died in suspicious circumstances.

 

JINNEWS compiled the 10-month violence tally on the occasion of 25 November Internatinal Day for the Elimination fo Violence against Women. According to the tally of JINNEWS, 316 women were murdered in 10 months and 170 women died in suspicious circumstances. 

 

THE PERPETRATOR IS THE CLOSEST

 

98 of the women were murdered by men they were married to, 28 of them were divorced, 33 of them were in the process of divorce, 11 of them were murdered by their fathers, 18 of them by their sons, 6 of them by cohabitants, 28 of them by acquaintances, 25 of them by intimate partners, 19 of them by relatives, 12 of them by unidentified men, 10 of them by men they had separated from and 2 of them by unknown men. The relationship of 3 murdered women with the perpetrator could not be determined.
