Catalonian women: Liberation comes through the struggle for freedom

SILÊMANIYÊ - Catalonian women, who came to Silêmaniyê for the opening of the Kurdish Women's Library, Archive and Research Center, stated that they witnessed a historical day and emphasized that liberation comes through the freedom struggle of women.
 
The opening program of the Kurdish Women's Library, Archive and Research Center, which is the project of Nagihan Akarsel, a member of the Jineology Research Center and the editor of the Jineology Journal, who was assassinated on October 4, 2022, in the city of Silêmaniyê (Süleymaniye) in the Federated Kurdistan Region, where she worked for the Kurdistan Women's Library, continues on its second day. Free Women's Movement (TJA) activists and members of the Jineology Committee from all over Kurdistan and Europe, as well as representatives of many women's organizations, came to Silêmaniyê for the opening. Beritan Güneş, Deputy of Merdin on behalf of the Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) Women's Council, also attended the event.
 
On the first day of the opening event, women from all four parts of Kurdistan and Europe emphasized the importance of women's history and said that the library would make significant contributions to the women's struggle. Fammy Arambilet from the Jineology Catalonia Committee has been working on mythology and women's resistance for years.
 
THE PARADIGM TO SAVE WOMEN
 
Arambilet, who has carried out various works on the women's liberation struggle, said: "I believe that the women's liberation movement is the biggest movement and paradigm that can save us from patriarchy and capitalism, it will save all women."
 
WOMEN'S RESISTANCE AND ART ASPECTS 
 
Arambilet, who came to Süleymaniye for the opening program of the Kurdish Women's Library, Archive and Research Center, said: "I am very happy to see my sisters from many parts of the world. I saw the artistic side of Kurdish women as well as their resistance side. I would like to thank all the women who contributed to this organization for the historical research of women. As a woman, I will take part in this project and try to reflect the history of women in the most accurate way.”
 
A HISTORIC DAY FOR WOMEN
 
Lola Gutierrez from the Jineology Catalonia Committee, who came for the opening of the library center, stated that they witnessed a historical day and said: “Today is a historical day to save the history of women, I am also working for women's history. This is a process that concerns all women. This work of Kurdish women stands in a very important place for women living in our regions, especially our families, to gain opportunities.”
 
'WOMEN'S MOVEMENT IS LIGHT FOR THE WORLD'
 
Emphasizing that liberation is in women's struggle for freedom, Gutierrez said: “I know that the women's movement is a light for this world and it needs to be embraced. We follow the work of Kurdish women with interest, and we are happy to be a part of it. The women's struggle will save us from this crisis."
