Death toll in Hatay earthquake rose to 6

HATAY - 6 people lost their lives in the earthquake, the epicenter of which was in Hatay, and 294 people were injured, 18 of them seriously.
 
Two major earthquakes with magnitudes of 6.4 and 5.8 occurred at 20:05 on February 20 in the Samandağ and Defne districts of Hatay. Tsunami warnings were issued after the earthquake, which was felt in the cities of the region, as well as in Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Israel and Egypt.
 
After the earthquake, 2 people trying to get their belongings from the damaged 4-storey building in Gazi Mahallesi in Antakya district were left under the rubble. During the rescue efforts, the lifeless bodies of 2 people were removed from the rubble.
 
While 6 people have lost their lives in the Hatay-centered earthquake so far, 294 people have been injured, 18 of them seriously, according to the data announced by the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca.
