ANKARA - It was reported that Huseyin Aykol, who is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit, has experienced a deterioration in his blood values and that his feeding has been suspended as a result.
Journalist Huseyin Aykol's treatment continues at Sincan Training and Research Hospital, where he was taken after suffering a brain haemorrhage at his home in Ankara on 14 October. Following two operations, Aykol, who is being treated in the intensive care unit due to an infection in his lungs, has developed a new bacterial infection in his lungs.
According to information provided by Aykol's doctor, in addition to the bacteria, his blood values have deteriorated and his feeding has been stopped as a result. The doctor stated that they do not know the cause of the deterioration in his blood values and are investigating the reason.
Aykol's life remains at risk.
