ANKARA - The sleeping pills given to journalist Huseyin Aykol, who was intubated after a brain haemorrhage in Ankara, have been reduced again.
Journalist-writer Huseyin Aykol, who suffered a brain haemorrhage at his home in Ankara on 14 October and then suffered a second brain haemorrhage at the hospital where he was hospitalised, continues to be treated in the intensive care unit. Aykol is being kept in the intensive care unit of Sincan Training and Research Hospital. Aykol's doctor informed that the sedation (sleeping pills) given to him has been reduced again. Aykol's wife Nuray Çevirmen also visited Aykol in the intensive care unit under the supervision of a doctor.
Doctors reiterated that Aykol is unconscious and his life is still in danger.
Visits to the hospital where Aykol is hospitalised continue. Aykol, who left behind his 8th day in intensive care, was visited today by Amed (Diyarbakır) Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Serra Bucak and Doğan Hatun, as well as members of the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and Aykol's relatives.
