MERSİN - Lezgin Dayangaç, the father of Mehmet Dayangaç, who is being held in Sincan L-Type Prison No 2, stated that his son is constantly subjected to pressure and violence and called on the authorities to investigate the prison.
The family of Mehmet Dayangaç, who is held in Ankara Sincan L-Type Closed Prison No 2, stated that their son is constantly subjected to pressure and violence and called for public awareness. 25-year-old Dayangaç's father Lezgin Dayangaç, who was arrested on the allegation of "terror organization membership" after being detained in Mersin in 2021, told about the rights violations in prison.
Stating that the prison administration inflicted psychological and physical violence on prisoners under the name of "ward searches", father Dayangaç stated that his son called them by phone and told them what he was going through.
Dayangaç said: "They are constantly insulted by the wardens. They are arbitrarily beaten. My son is being insulted and tortured between four walls. It is unacceptable that he is constantly beaten, insulted and kept under psychological pressure. These practices are torture. We want this problem experienced by our children to be solved."
Dayangaç called on the authorities and asked for an investigation in the prison.
