Mayor Sozana Cana announced on her virtual media account that Warishah Moradi has been granted honorary citizenship by a majority vote of the city council.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Warishah Moradi was detained on 31 July 2023 in Kirmaşan by Iranian Intelligence forces on charges of "committing violence" and "membership of an illegal organisation". She remained in the custody of security units in Sine for 13 days. At the end of August, he was sent to Evin Prison in Tehran. She was tried by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on 17 June 2024 on charges of "membership in an organisation" and sentenced to death on 10 March 2024.
