NEWS CENTER - 34 parties and organisations in North and East Syria called for an end to the clashes in Damascus countryside and said, "eapons bring nothing but destruction and bloodshed."

34 parties and organisations in North and East Syria issued a joint statement on the clashes in Sahnaya and Jaremana regions in Damascus countryside. In the statement, it was stated that the attempt to resolve the contradictions between the Syrian peoples with weapons and violence in a sensitive process is shameful and means serving the enemies of the Syrian peoples and added: "Weapons bring nothing but destruction and bloodshed. Resorting to weapons closes the doors of dialogue and alliance, which is the only way to solve problems and contradictions."

The statement also called on political, social and religious organisations to fulfil their national and moral duties and take action to prevent the war.

CALL TO THE PARTIES

In the statement, the following call was made to all parties: "The war must end, the language of dialogue must prevail in line with national interests and unity, and the language of revenge and sectarian and ethnic provocations must be avoided. Syria belongs to all the Syrian people. There is more to unite us than to divide us. Let us preserve our social order. Let us work to stop the bloodshed and build a country of peace, justice and equality."

The parties that signed the statement are as follows:

“Democratic Union Party (PYD), Green Democratic Party, Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, Syrian Kurdish Liberal Party, Kurdistan Communist Party, Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, Syrian Kurdish Left Party, Syrian Kurdish Democratic Left Party, Future of Syria Party, Kurdistan Democratic Change Party, Kurdistan Progressive Movement – Syria, Kurdistan Workers' Union (YKK), Arab National Council (Heye El Weteniye El Arabiya), Syrian Democratic Progressive Party, Syrian Kurdish Democratic Alliance Party, Syrian Reform Party, Democratic Assyrian Party, Kurdistan Brotherhood Party (PBK), Syrian Democratic Roj Party, Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Kongra Star, Conservatives Party, Democratic Struggle Party, Kurdistan Future Wave (Şepêla Pêşeroj a Kurdistanê), Kurdistan Democratic Party - Rojava, Democratic Change Party, Syriac Unity Party, Kurdistan National Community Party, Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (Yekitî), Syrian Revolutionary Left Movement, Partiya Sûraya ya Demokrat, Syrian Patriotic Party (Partiya El Weten El Sûrî)”
