NEWS CENTRE - Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in all cities of North and East Syria on 15 February and marched demanding "Freedom for Öcalan".
The people of North and East Syria protested against the International Conspiracy in which PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was kidnapped from Kenya and brought to Turkey. In the Autonomous Administration cities, where life came to a standstill, shopkeepers did not open their shutters. Tens of thousands of people from 7 to 70 participated in marches and rallies organised in the cities and demanded freedom for Abdullah Öcalan. Protests against the conspiracy were held in the following regions: "Qamishli, Tabqa, Tishreen, Derik, Kobani, Heseke, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Girke Lege."
