AMED - An investigation is underway into what happened in the missing 12 minutes between 18:47, the last time 8-year-old Narin Güran was seen with her friend, and 18:59, when her uncle left the village.
8-year-old Narin Güran, who disappeared on August 21 in Çulî neighborhood of Rezan district of Amed (Diyarbakır), has been missing for 16 days. Uncle Salim Güran, who was detained on September 2 as part of the investigation into Narin's disappearance, was arrested by the court on charges of “willfull murder” and “deprivation of liberty”.
The search was continued yesterday with an underground imaging device in the cemetery in the neighborhood.
WHAT HAPPENED IN 12 MINUTES?
On the other hand, a professional team was brought from Ankara for the search for Narin. Together with the team, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT) investigated the missing 12 minutes that appeared in the gendarmerie report. They are investigating what happened in the 12 minutes between 18.47, when Narin was last seen with her friends, and 18.59, when the arrested uncle left the village.
CCTV footage showed the uncle leaving the area where their house was located at 18.59 and passing in front of the school. In their statements, the family and relatives said they had not seen Narin between 15.15 and 19.30.
In the CCTV footage investigated by the gendarmerie, it was determined that Narin met with her 9-year-old friend at 18.47.
