OSMANİYE - 5 people, including DEM Party district co-chairs, were detained on the grounds that they were dancing the halay to Kurdish music at a wedding in Osmaniye.
In Osmaniye, during house raids conducted in the morning hours, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Osmaniye Central District Co-chairs Sevgi Aydın and Faruk Kahraman, their managers Hakan Kahraman and 2 citizens whose names could not be learned were detained in a house raid conducted at their homes in the morning.
It was reported that the detained party members and citizens were detained because they were dancing the halay to Kurdish music at a wedding and decorated their wedding vehicles with yellow and red flags.
The 5 people detained were taken to the Osmaniye Provincial Police Department.
