AMED - Amed Metropolitan Municipality teams rewrote the Kurdish warning signs that were deleted by the governorate's decision.
After the Kurdish warning signs “Pêşî Peya/First Pedestrian” and “Hêdî/Slow” written by Amed Metropolitan Municipality on many streets of the city to warn drivers were deleted by the Governorate's decision, the signs were rewritten by the municipality.
Amed Metropolitan Municipality was asked by the Diyarbakır Governor's Office to erase the Kurdish warnings written by the municipality at pedestrian crossings and traffic lights on many streets of the city.
When the writings were not removed, the Regional Directorate of Highways teams assigned by the governorate covered the Kurdish writings with paint at around 03:00 am on July 29.
