NEWS CENTER – Continuing their attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria, Turkey targeted infrastructure and civilian settlements. Two children and their mother were injured in the attacks, and the power station and animal farm were bombed.
Turkey, which suffered heavy losses in the violent clashes in the Zap area of Southern Kurdistan on January 12, continues their attacks targeting Northern and Eastern Syria uninterruptedly. Directly targeting public services and civilian settlements, as well as infrastructure, Turkey bombarded many cities, districts and villages.
According to ANHA's news, it bombed the base of the Coalition Forces in the Çelebiyê district of Kobanê. No information was obtained regarding the outcome of the bombardment. Directly targeting the infrastructure, service institutions as well as civilian settlements in the region, Turkey's Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) bombed an electricity station in Kobanê.
LAVRAÇ COMPANY WAS BOMBED
Lavrac company, which was closed after ISIS's attacks on Kobanê in 2014 and later used by the Fighting Against ISIS forces, was bombed three times in a row.
3 INJURED IN DIRBÊSIYÊ
Grain warehouses in the Dirbêsiyê district of Hesekê Canton and a citizen's house in Girbetli village were directly targeted. Brothers Can and Rojan, who were at home during the attack, and their mother were injured. The house became unusable.
The injured were immediately taken to the district hospital and received treatment.
ANIMAL FARM WAS BOMBED
The surroundings of Berkevirê village in the Dirbesiye district of Cizir Canton and the animal farm in Şêx Çoban village in the south of Kobanê were bombed with UCAVs
STATEMENT FROM CIZÎR CANTON
The Executive Council of the Cizîr Canton Democratic Autonomous Administration made a statement in front of the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Art Center in Qamışlo regarding the attacks. The statement, made in Kurdish and Arabic, was read by Executive Council Co-chair Talet Yûnis and Board of Education Co-chair Gulistan Îsmaîl. Pointing out that the attacks have increased, the statement stated that Turkey bombed infrastructure, services and strategic locations in Dêrik, Tirbespiyê, Rimêlan and Çilaxa districts of Cizîr Canton between 12-14 December.
It was stated that the service organizations that provide water and electricity to the region were out of service as a result of the ongoing attacks, and that these attacks, which violate international law, hindered the efforts to combat terrorism. The statement continued, underlining that solidarity and resistance against the attacks will be strengthened and the gains will be protected, and a call was made to the active forces in Syria, the international community, legal and humanitarian organizations.
At the end of the statement, a call was made to the people of the region to unite around their institutions and protect their gains.
