AGIRÎ - Yasin Yılmaz, who is held in Patnos Type L Closed Prison, said that an investigation has been launched against some prisoners due to the books confiscated during ward raids.
Yasin Yılmaz, who is held in Type L Closed Prison in Agirî's (Ağrı) Panos (Patnos) district, said in a telephone conversation with his family that an investigation has been opened against some prisoners. Stating that some books given with the permission of the prison administration were confiscated during ward raids, Yılmaz said: “They are opening an investigation into the books they recorded themselves, and an investigation has now been opened against nearly 50 prisoners. As a result of the investigations they launched, the release of several friends was prevented. The books were confiscated and investigations were launched on the grounds that 'the integrity of the book was damaged' and 'it keeps the consciousness of Kurdishness and Kurdistan alive'."
