RIHA - Prisoner Ethem Göktürk, who is on hunger strike in Yozgat No. 2 Type T Closed Prison, said that they will continue their actions with determination.
The hunger strikes, which were launched in Turkey and Kurdistan prisons on November 27 with the motto "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue", continue on their 35th day. Prisoner Ethem Göktürk, held in Yozgat No. 2 Type T Closed Prison, who announced that he was on hunger strike in his weekly phone call with his family, spoke about the action.
Underlining that they will reiterate their demands and continue their actions with determination, Göktürk said: "We will continue this hunger strike until the isolation imposed on Mr. Öcalan is not lifted. There are 2 cells containing political prisoners here. Now 2 of our friends are on strike. The isolation imposed on Mr. Öcalan is a burden on us prisoners, in fact, on all peoples. This is an isolation imposed on us. We call on all sensitive groups to voice us."
