After the Constitutional Court annulled the regulating the crime of "committing a crime on behalf of a terrorist organization without being a member of it", a political prisoner named Ahmet Bayna, who was convicted under this article of the law, applied to the 9th High Criminal Court on December 15 with requesting his release. The court decided to release Bayna on December 19.
The prison Administration and Observation Board, which met on the same day, did not implement the court's decision, claiming that Bayna was not of "good behavior". Then Bayna applied to the Karabük Execution Judgeship through his lawyers. The judgeship agreed to the decision of the Administration and Observation Board to be in accordance with the procedure and law.
