NEWS CENTER - In the statements made at many points on the 12th anniversary of the Roboski Massacre, it was drawn that the perpetrators were left unpunished, and the message was given that "Unless Roboski is clarified, justice will not be secured in Turkey."
12 years have passed since 34 people, including 19 children, were bombed and murdered by warplanes belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) in the Roboskî village of Şirnex(Şırnak)'s Qileban (Uludere) district on December 28, 2011. While not a single responsible person has been prosecuted in all this time, the condemnations of the massacre have never subsided. On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the massacre, protests were held in many cities once again. The message "the struggle will continue until the perpetrators are tried" came to the fore during the protests.
'THE ROBOSKİ MASSACRE MUST BE CLARIFIED'
Justice for Roboski Initiative made a press statement in front of the İHD Ankara Branch building. In addition to DEM Party provincial and district organization executives, members of the 78's Initiative and IHD attended the statement. In the statement where the banner "Let the murderers be found, Roboski never again" was opened, Tanju Gündüzalp, one of the İHD executives, read the press text.
Stating that the perpetrators of the Roboskî Massacre should be punished, Gündüzalp said: "We are here for an equal, free life where nature is not destroyed and where there is no discrimination of language, religion, race or class. We will continue to protect our right to life. Peace should be built not only in conflictual environments but also on social grounds. Punishing the military and political perpetrators of the massacre is extremely important for strengthening the hopes for peace in the public conscience. There will be no justice for Turkey without justice for Roboski. The Roboski massacre must be clarified. We will all use our right to object uninterruptedly against the war and violence that eliminates all human life and freedom, especially Roboski."
