A 10-year-old girl was subjected to violence by chief ranger Adil Oktan in Zêwik village of Şirnex's Hezex (İdil) district on December 3. The child's mother, E.T., realized the incident and saved her children from the chief ranger.
'I FORCIBLY TOOK MY DAUGHTER AWAY FROM THEM'
The mother of the child who was subjected to violence explained the incident as follows: “My daughter is 10 years old and my son is 2 years old. My daughter left the house to take her brother to the store. The son of a ranger slaps my son. At that moment, my daughter condemned him and said, 'Why are you hitting my sister?' Then the boy's father, the chief ranger, comes. As a result of the violence of the chief ranger, my daughter's teeth were broken and her back, head and face were bruised. His mouth was covered in blood. I took my daughter away from her by force. She was going to hit me too, but she stopped hitting me after telling them 'I will report you to the police station'."
Stating that the village head person is a relative of the aggressive chief ranger Adil Oktan, the mother said: "The head person came to the house. 'For my sake, do not complain.' We did not complain either; however, soldiers said an investigation would still be launched. The statements of the Chief Ranger and us were taken."
No information could be obtained as to whether an investigation was launched against Ranger Oktan.
