ŞIRNEX - While retired ranger Enver Babat, who murdered DEM Party leader Ahmet Gün in Sêgirk town, was arrested, it was learned that 3 people for whom there was an arrest warrant had not been caught for 9 days.
In the Sêgirk (Şenoba) town of Şirnex's Qileban (Uludere) district, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Town Council member and party manager Ahmet Gün was attacked with an armed attack along with his son Abdurrahim Gün on December 11. While Ahmet Gün lost his life in the attack in the rural area of Taloka village, his son Abdurrahim Gün survived with injuries. Mahmut Gün, who was with them, also escaped unhurt in the incident.
An arrest warrant was issued for retired village guard Enver Babat (60), Ömer Yarar, ranger Sıddık Babat and his son Ebubekir Babat within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Uludere Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after the attack. Retired ranger Enver Babat was detained on December 11. It was learned that Babat was arrested and sent to prison for "deliberate murder".
However, even though 9 days have passed since the incident, the other 3 people have still not been caught.
