ADANA - It was stated that the right to treatment of ill prisoners in Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison were prevented due to the imposition of "oral cavity searches".
Ferhat Önkol, who remains in Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison, shared the violations of his rights in a phone call with his family. Noting that oral cavity searches have been imposed on prisoners when entering and exiting the prison for 3 years, Önkol said: “For three years, prisoners have never been outside to the hospital or to the court for hearings. Currently, there are people with chronic diseases and serious conditions who do not go to the hospital because of this implementation. We applied to many places, but no response was given."
Noting that two prisoners from Rojava, who were detained and arrested 2 months ago, were brought to Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison, Önkol said: "Kamuran Hassan, who requested to go to the political prisoners' cells, was beaten by the guards and put in a single cell."
