ADANA - Prisoner Mehmet Şerif Çalım, who is on hunger strike for the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, called on all segments to support his actions.
Prisoners in prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan started a rotating hunger strike on November 27 as part of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish problem" campaign. Deniz Özdemir and İsmail Tüzün were the first to go on a 5-day rotating strike in Adana F Type Closed Prison within this scope. On December 2, a prisoner named Mehmet Şerif Çalım started a 5-day rotating hunger strike.
Calling his family on the phone, Çalım called on all segments of society to embrace his actions.
Çalım emphasized that their struggle will continue until Abdullah Öcalan is free.
