WAN - Coalition of Women in Journalism (CFWIJ) announced that journalist Farah Omar and her cameraman Rabih Maamari died in Israel's rocket attack on Lebanon.
This morning, the Israeli army targeted a civilian vehicle with a rocket on the highway between the towns of Kalayla and Al-Shaaytiya in southern Lebanon. 4 people in the vehicle died in the attack.
Coalition of Women in Journalism (CFWIJ) announced in a statement on its social media account that journalist Farah Omar and cameraman Rabih Maamari lost their lives in the attack.
The statement included the following: "Targeting journalists is a war crime."
