ISTANBUL - T24 writer Tolga Şardan was detained within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
A detention order was issued about T24 writer Tolga Şardan within the scope of the investigation initiated ex officio by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after releasing his article titled "What is in the 'judicial report' submitted by MİT to the Presidency?". After the decision, the police raided Şardan's house. Şardan was taken into custody.
ACCUSED OF 'DISSEMINATING MISLEADING INFORMATION TO PUBLIC'
It was stated that the investigation was initiated due to Şardan's article regarding the MİT report submitted to President Tayyip Erdoğan, which contained findings on allegations of corruption in the judiciary. In the investigation of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that Şardan was accused of "publicly disseminating misleading information to the public".
In his article on T24 yesterday, Şardan brought up the "judicial report" submitted by MİT to the Presidency.
