AMED - DBP Deputy Co-Chairperson Zekiye İlbasan was arrested on the charge of "resisting the police".
Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairperson Zekiye İlbasan, who was beaten and detained yesterday in Amed(Diyarbakır) during the October 9 international conspiracy protest against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, was referred to the courthouse after her procedures at the police station. İlbasan was referred to the court with a request for arrest on the allegation of "resisting the police". İlbasan was arrested for the same reason. İlbasan was taken to Diyarbakır Women's Closed Prison.

DBP made the following statement on the subject on the social media platform X: "Our Deputy Co-Chairperson, Zekiye İlbasan, was beaten while being detained yesterday following the October 9 conspiracy in Amed, and was arrested today. The arrest of our friend is an attempt at political genocide against the determination of our action."
