DİYARBAKIR - The family of Veysi Aktaş, who is being held in İmralı Prison together with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, demanded an end to the isolation, said: "We are curious about his health status."
There has been no news since March 25, 2021 from PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş, who are being held in İmralı Type F High Security Closed Prison. While the application for meeting of the family and lawyers was blocked by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on the grounds of 'visit ban', the application for Kurban Bayram was not answered. The family of Veysi Aktaş, who has been held in İmralı since 2015, called for the isolation to be lifted.
'I WANT TO SEE MY SON'
Saying that she last saw her son in 2015 when he was detained in Kırıkkale Prison, mother Faika Aktaş said: "I haven't seen my son since he went to İmralı. I can't get any news, neither a phone call nor a letter. I want to see my son this holiday. I'm calling out to the Ministry of Justice; let us see my son, let's have a good holiday."
CALL FOR VISIT AKTAŞ
Calling for the visits of the family and lawyers to be provided as soon as possible, Aslan said: "We are worried about their health and psychology. We are holding on to our phones with fear. We want this isolation to end in all prisons, especially in Imrali. I hope we will go to visit him this Eid. I hope for that."
