JINNEWS reporter Beritan Canözer, who was arrested after she was detained in Amed on April 25, was released after the indictment against her on the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" was accepted. Diyarbakir 10th High Criminal Court decided to release Canözer with a judicial control request, after examining the detention file. Canözer's first hearing will be held on October 25.

In the indictment, interviews with Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) women MPs, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven and women politicians were considered crimes. The murder of Kurdish women politicians, news in Kurdish, the isolation of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and 18 news in JINNEWS about Newroz were also the subject of accusations.
