ANKARA - Condemning the arrest of HDP VQA member Doğan Erbaş, Green Left Party Group MP Chairperson Oluç said: "None of our friends did and will not bow down."

 

Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) Group MP Chairperson Saruhan Oluç held a press conference in the Parliament. Evaluating the developments on the agenda, Oluç referred to the change of duty in the Ministry of Finance, Oluç said: "Mehmet Şimşek said that they will return to rational ground while defining the economy. We'll see if he returns. We say that we should return to rational ground in the Parliament. Only 1,200 of the more than 14 thousand questions were answered in the 27th period. This is a grave situation. There was a parliament that could not audit even with the parliamentary question."

 

DETENTION AND ARREST

 

Referring to the increased detentions and arrests after the elections, Oluç said: "It is truly astonishing that this government does not see that it cannot benefit from the operations. Are you trying to take revenge? Are you trying to avenge the election results? You have seen many times that the understanding of subjugation and discouragement with such detentions and arrests does not work. You will see it once again."

 

'DOĞAN ERBAŞ DOES NOT BOW DOWN'

 

Reacting to the arrest of HDP PM and VQA member Doğan Erbaş, Oluç said: “These images, when a lawyer, like Doğan Erbaş, who was the director of this party for years, was detained, showed the mentality of the government. Did Doğan Erbaş surrender? He didn't bend. None of our friends who were exposed to such practices did not and will not bow down. No Kurdish or democrat will bow down like Doğan Erbaş. Doğan Erbaş's honorable attitude was one that should be an important lesson for all of us."
