ISTANBUL - Four mothers celebrating the birthday of Abdullah Öcalan in Istanbul were detained.
The 74th birthday of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan was celebrated in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, by leaving roses in the sea. The mothers who participated in the for Peace Mothers and ill prisoners came together under the leadership of the Association for Assistance and Solidarity with the Families Who Lost their Relatives of Anatolia (ANYAKAY-DER). The mothers walked along the beach and shouted the slogan: "Biji Serok Apo".
4 PEOPLE DETAINED
The women, who left roses in the sea from the beach, were attacked by the police while they were ending the event. 4 women were detained.
The police tried to block the news, Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporter Zana Kaya and JINNEWS reporters Rozerin Gültekin and Elfazi Toral. The mothers were also subjected to by verbal violence.
