Ramazan Özyiğit, who is on the seriously ill prisoner list of the Human Rights Association (İHD), was released after a 30-year sentence. Özyiğit, who was released from Elazığ Karakoçan 1 Type K Closed Prison, was detained in 1993 in İdil district of Şırnak. Özyiğit, who was sentenced to life imprisonment at the State Security Court (DGM), where he was brought, remained in prisons in Van, Hatay and Erzurum throughout his prison time. Özyiğit, who had 7 surgeries during his prison time, is struggling with many diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure and hearing problems.
ATK HAS PREVENTED HIS RELEASE BEFORE
Özyiğit has been hospitalized many times in recent years. Özyiğit, who could not meet his personal needs due to his illnesses, continued his life with the help of his friends in prison. Özyiğit, who received a report of "cannot stay in prison" at the hospital where he was treated due to the progression of his disease, was not released due to the report of the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK) that he could "stay in prison".
