Uluğ's lawyer Yusuf Çakas stated that all of the actions and activities that his client participated in were political party activities, and demanded his client's acquittal, stating that the actions and activities his client participated in did not meet the criteria of "diversity, intensity, continuity" determined as the criteria for "membership in a terrorist organization".
