The protest in front of the CPT has come to an end: the Kurdish people must stand

NEWS CENTER - The protest in front of the CPT ended on the third day with the call of KCDK-E. In the speech on the sit-in, it was emphasized that the Kurdish people must stand up for the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

On the last day of the three-day protest, which started on Wednesday, December 7, in front of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) in Strasbourg, upon the call of the European Congress of Kurdistan Democratic Societies (KCDK-E), Stuttgart, Esslingen, Heilbronn, Freiburg, Lahr, Nürnberg, Munich and The outgoing Fed-Gel Federation from Bodensee took over the components. “The Kurds are worried about their leaders. We need to know about Abdullah Öcalan's safety and health", and banners reading "CPT and AK must urgently arrange a meeting for Abdullah Öcalan's lawyers in İmralı ''.

Tahir Köçer, a member of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), made a speech on behalf of the constituents. Saying that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan has been subjected to an unprecedented isolation in the history of humanity since the day he was taken prisoner by an international conspiracy, Köçer said: "The CPT has a duty to hold accountable for inhumane treatment. Our request from the CPT is that it fulfills the requirements of the contracts it has signed. We don't want anything else. There has been an uninterrupted sit-in for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Strasbourg for more than 10 years. We have been showing reflexes in front of the CPT for three days. We will continue to fight in every field for the freedom of Leader Apo.”

'KURDISH PEOPLE SHOULD STAND'

Saying that the Kurdish people were provoked through Abdullah Öcalan, who is the most sensitive point of the Kurdish people, Köçer said: “The Kurdish people have no patience anymore. We want answers from our leader. Abdullah Öcalan should be contacted as soon as possible with his lawyers. Only through actions and struggle can we ensure Leader Apo's freedom. The Kurdish people should stand from 7 to 70.”

The action ended with the slogans “Bê Serok jiyan nabe(There is no life without the President”, “Bijî Serok Apo(Long live the President Apo)”, “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan".
