MARDİN - Nurcan Aslan, being held in Tarsus Type T Closed Prison, stated that after the circular sent by the Ministry of Justice, violations of rights increased and people started to be sent to other prisons.
Nurcan Aslan among those on trial in the Nusaybin Case, who is being held in Tarsus Type T Closed Prison spoke about the violations of their rights in a phone call with her family. Stating that the isolation conditions were aggravated after the circular sent by the Ministry of Justice, Aslan said that when they asked the reason for the violations, they were told that it was because of the circular of the Ministry of Justice.
Noting that the detainees started to be transferred to other prisons without any justification conveyed to them, Aslan said, “They are exiling our friends to Kandıra, Antalya and Kayseri, further away from their families. We are not allowed to pass between rooms. Whatever we do, they keep a record. We are calling out to our friends and a report is being taken again. Our letters are confiscated, calling them "organisational propaganda". They're keeping records for them. They say we can only send one letter. We cannot send letters to two friends at the same time. They don't accept two letters in one envelope. The pressure is increasing day by day."
