NEWS CENTER - Iraqi Security and Defense Commission Member Weid Qedo said that the presence of Turkish soldiers on Iraqi soil is an invasion.
Turkey continues its attacks on the Federated Kurdistan Region in partnership with the KDP. There has been condemnation from the Iraqi authorities to the recent increase in Turkey's attacks on Shengal. Iraqi Parliament Security and Defense Committee Member Weid Qedo made evaluations to Rojnews regarding Turkey's attacks.
Considering Turkey's repetition of attacks despite Baghdad's official objections as a dangerous process, Weid Qedo said: "The Iraqi Parliament should hold a meeting to take a decision against these attacks. A large number of Iraqi parliamentarians demanded an investigation into the violation of Iraqi territory. A special meeting should be held to discuss Turkey's attacks to ask Ankara to respect Iraq's sovereignty. More than 7,000 Turkish soldiers were deployed on Iraqi territory. The presence of Turkish soldiers on Iraqi soil is an invasion and is unacceptable."
