URFA - Şenyaşar family told that their pursuit for justice continues under persecution.
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 407. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The family started the sit-in at the Urfa Courthouse coming from their house in Suruç early in the morning.
Coming to the Urfa Courthouse early in the morning from their house in Suruç which is 42 kilometers away from the courthouse, the family hung a banner, written, "Our sit-in is on its 407th day. I don't want to die in front of the courthouse. You murdered my children and my husband in a state hospital. My orphaned grandchildren need me.”
'PERSECUTION CONTINUES'
Ferit Şenyaşar stated that the pursuit for justice continues "under persecution" and said, "There is a massacre committed in an institution of the state, all the authorities know about the incident, but everyone is silent because the perpetrator is an MP of the ruling party."
'DYSFUNCTIONAL JUSTICE SYSTEM'
The family shared the following message from Twitter, "As if the murder of 3 members of our family in a state hospital wasn't enough, our pursuit for justice in front of the 'Courthouse' tells enough of the reckless character of authority and power. Our wait in front of the courthouse against the dysfunctional justice system continues on its 407th day”.
