URFA - Inviting everyone to break their fast in front of the courthouse, Emine Şenyaşar said, "I can't handle what happened anymore. Enough is enough."
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 394. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. The mother and her son arrived in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their house in the Suruç district early in the morning. In the area called "Şenyaşar Family Justice Corner", the family wrote, "They killed my two children and my husband in the hospital! No one was arrested! My son has been held in a cell alone for 4 years with the orders of the superiors. I want the immediate release of my son. Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for all". The family started the sit-in for the day.
'THOSE WHO BECAME THE REASON FOR THE SUFFERING OF A MOTHER CAN NOT PROSPER'
The family placed an additional banner on the sit-in area written, "Our sit-in for rights, law and justice against the law of the superiors continues on its 394th day". Ferit Şenyaşar said, "The struggle for justice continues under 'oppression'. It is the Ramadan. Ramadan is the month of making peace. A mother has been waiting for justice at the door of this courthouse for 394 days. One of her sons is held in a cell alone, her two sons and her husband were murdered. No one was arrested for these murders. Persecution by the hand of the judiciary continues in front of the courthouse. Authorities are sharing messages celebrating Ramadan. As accomplices in this persecution, they break fast with their families. I invite all officials from here to conscience and justice. The whole world is following this lawlessness. Those who became the reason for the suffering of a mother will not prosper. The Islam religion and humanity will not accept this."
FAMILY CALLS ON THE PEOPLE TO BREAK THEIR FAST IN FRONT OF COURTHOUSE
Şenyaşar stated that Ramadan continues on the 5th day and said, "We will break our fast in front of the courthouse again. We welcome everyone to our table. Ramadan is about sharing, we will share our bread with everyone."
MOTHER: I HAVE TO COME HERE
Emine Şenyaşar, on the other hand, stated that everyone breaks fast at home together in Ramadan and said, “They destroyed my home. I can't stay at home. I have to come here. Everyone is with their children. Why are they doing this to us? How will they account for this before god? Release my son so I can go home. There is no justice. I'm fasting, I'm ill. If I'm going to die, let me die in front of this courthouse. I can't take this anymore. Enough is enough.”
The family shared the following message from their Twitter account, “Our sit-in is on the 394th day. Those who inflict this much pain on us are at home breaking their fast with their families. On the 5th day of Ramadan, we will break our fast in front of the courthouse. We expect anyone to break their fast with us in front of the courthouse at the #TableOfJustice."
