HAKKARİ - There is no news regarding the whereabouts of Musa Çiftçi from Hakkari who was detained in Hewler at the check point of the KDP. No information was given to his family looking for him by the KDP authorities.

 

A citizen named Musa Ciftci, who has been living in the Iraqi city of Sulaimani since 2015, was detained on March 10 while he was traveling from Sulaymaniyah to Hewler. Çiftçi, whose vehicle was stopped at the search point established by the KDP peshmerga in the Sheqlawa district of Hewler, was taken into custody after the proceedings there. Family members living in Yüksekova district of Hakkari, who could not hear from Çiftçi for 16 days, then went to Şeqlawa. Family members who met with KDP officials stated that the KDP officials did not inform them about the reason for Çiftçi's detention and where he was being held.

 

Returning to Süleymaniye, family members said that they are continuing their search for Çiftçi.
