İZMİR - Scores were detained during house raids in İzmir. 

 

As a result of the operation carried out in  Menemen, Buca, Torbalı, Bayraklı and Konak districts of İzmir early this morning, scores of people were detained with raids on their homes. The people detained for participating in the Newroz celebrations held in Gündoğdu Square on March 20 were taken to the İzmir Security Directorate. It was stated that there are warrants against 59 people and at least 45 of them were detained. 

 

The names of some of the people detained as a result of the operation is as follows: "Köseoğlu, Erkan Köseoğlu, Eyüp Köseoğlu, Davut Polat, Mervan Gümüş, Özlem Ağaçdelen, Yıldız Türk, Harun Yamaç, Dilan Karakoç, Serkan Yıldız, Furkan Karataş, Altan Çalar, Serhat Kaya, Hayat İzgi, Özgür Öztürk, Şervan Eridi, Aydın Çelebi, Robin Öner, Hogır Sevgi ve Sait Pamuk.”
