DIYARBAKIR - Relatives of the prisoners gathered in front of the courthouse on the 129th day of the Justice Watch and staged a sit-in under the police blockade.

The Families gathered in front of Diyarbakır Courthouse today. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), The Federation of Legal Solidarity Associations for Families of Detainees and Convicts (MED TUHAD-FED), Families of Prisoners and Convicts Association (TUAY-DER), Association Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) Culture and Solidarity with Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER) and Mesopotamia Language and Culture Research Association (MED-DER) wanted to participate in the statement that families wanted to make.
'PEOPLE ARE DYING'
The police, who blockaded the courthouse, prevented the members of non-governmental organizations from participating in the press release. Families, together with their supporters, staged a sit-in under the police blockade. Protesting the police after the sit-in, a prisoner's relative, Herdem Merwanî, said: "People are dying, we are hurting." The demonstration ended with applause and the slogan "Rights, law, justice".
