DİYARBAKIR - Scores of women including Rosa Women's Association President Adalet Kaya and dismissed Sur Co-Mayor Filiz Buluttekin, were detained during house raids in Diyarbakır.
Police raided the residents of scores of women including Sur Municipality Co-Mayor Filiz Buluttekin, who was replaced by a trustee, Fatma Yıldızhan, Amed Branch Secretary of the Health and Social Service Workers' Union (SES).
While the reason for the detentions is not yet known, it was learned that the police stormed the houses during search.
SES Amed Branch shared the following from its Twitter account: Many women including our women's secretary Fatma Yıldızhan was detained early this morning. Every time the government gets stuck, it criminalizes the women's struggle and seeks a way out. But remember that women will never kneel. Release our friends immediately."
