URFA - The Senyaşar family's Justice Watch continues on its 360th day. Ferit Şenyaşar said that the images of the day of the massacres are in the archives of the state.
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 355. The sit-in was launched on 9 March 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives, in Suruç, province of Urfa, on 14 June 2018.
The sit-in has been carried out since then in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, who survived the attack.
Ferit Şenyaşar spoke about the obstacles and difficulties they faced during the Justice Watch and said that the case filed against the workplaces on 14 June 2018 concluded. "They lost my brother's gun in the investigation about our workplace. We have been holding this vigil for about a year now, demanding to open the hospital files. There is a confidential order. According to a document that emerged, the images were stolen or lost in the hospital. We know that hospital images are in the archives of the state. The perpetrators of the massacre are clear."
Şenyaşar recalled that he said to the 7th prosecutor, who is looking at the case file regarding the events in Suruç State Hospital: "We identified 23 people based on the images," and added: "That prosecutor was removed from the case and the prosecutors who do not open the file now are committing crimes. We will not give up our fight until justice is served," he said.
The Şenyaşar family posted a message on their Twitter account. "Those who take refuge in the shadow of others and render the judiciary dysfunctional, should know that the shadow is doomed to fall. For the hospital security camera recordings, the prosecutor says 'no', the state says 'it is in our archive'. Of course, one day the dawn will break.”
