ANKARA- A summary prepared against HDP Deputy Semra Güzel, based on some photos of her taken 8 years ago, was sent to the Presidency.
After the photos of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır Deputy Semra Güzel were published in the media, the summary was sent to the Presidency, demanding that her immunity be lifted.
The summary prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office which Güzel was accused of 'being a member of a terrorist organisation' was sent to the Ministry of Justice. The summary was evaluated hastily and sent to the Presidency with a request to strip Güzel of her parliamentary immunity. The summary is expected to sent back to the parliament after being evaluated by the Presidency.
STATEMENT OF GÜZEL
Güzel told that the photo was taken back in 2014 during the peace process. Stating that being accused of a photo from 8 years ago and trying to base an accusation on that single photo is unacceptable, Güzel told that she will take legal action.
