ŞIRNAK - It was stated that the border guards were reinforced after the soldiers' casualties increased in the operation of the TAF against the Metîna, Avaşîn and Zap border.
The operation launched by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) on the Metîna, Avaşîn and Zap regions on the border of the Federated Kurdistan Region on 23 April continues on its 19th day. Mobility was experienced in the Andaç (Elemunê) Border Post in Şırnak's Uludere district, which is one of the operation centers.
According to the information obtained, approximately 50 guards from many villages, especially Gülyazı (Bejuh) and Yemişli (Mêrgeh), were summoned to the Andaç Border Police Station, as the number of soldiers lost during the operation increased. It was recorded that the guards were sent to the operation area with vans and armored vehicles on the same day.
LOSSES INCREASED
Local sources shared that many soldiers died in the operation. It was stated that the wounded soldiers were taken to Ankara Gülhane Training and Research Hospital after the first interventions.
Local sources stated that the village guards were included in the operation as the casualties increased and the village guards who did not want to be included were taken by force.
