ŞIRNAK - MİT handed over the body of former PKK member Atilla Karaoğlan, who fell from the building he works at its construction in Hewlér and died to his family in return for his 8 month pregnant wife. D.D who was persuaded to surrender in return for the body has been taken to Mardin.
The body of the former PKK member who lost his life falling from the building he worked in its construction in Iraq Federated Kurdistan Region under suspicious circumstances was given to the family after National Intelligence Organization (MİT) persuaded his family to hand over his pregnant wife.Born in 1990, in Diyarbakır, Atilla Karaoğlan joined the PKK in 2014 and left the PKK 3 years later and surrendered to the peshmerga. Akkoyunlu who married D.D later when he was released, fell from the building he worked at, on April 28.
KDP SPOKE ON BEHALF OF THE MIT
MIT met with the family who came to claim the body of their son. Speaking on behalf of MİT, KDP members said: "Hand over his wife to the Turkish officials and then you can get your son's body" and demanded Karaoğlan's wife who also was a former PKK member to be surrendered. When the family handed 8 months pregnant D.D over to the Turkish officials, they retrieved the body of their son on May 3.
D.D WAS BROUGHT TO MARDİN
It was learned that D.D., who was handed over in Hewler 10 days ago, has been held in Mardin Provincial Security Directorate for 5 days now. His family also confirmed that D.D. was in custody.
