VAN - Caner Ağurtan, who was injured as a result of the fire opened by the soldiers while searching for hİS lost sheep in Çaldıran, stated that he was kicked by the soldiers for minutes after he was shot. Ağurtan, who was injured from his right leg, was hospitalized for treatment.
Caner Ağurtan (28), who was looking for his lost sheep in the Aşağı Gülderen (Nezrava Jorî) neighborhood in the Çaldıran district of Van, was injured by the fire opened by the soldiers. Ağurtan, who was injured by a bullet, from his right knee in the incident that took place around 07.30 in the morning, said that after he was shot, the soldiers kicked him while he was wounded and on the ground. It was stated that Ağurtan, who was sent to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Dursun Odabaş Medical Center after being examined in Çaldıran Hospital, was in good condition.
'THEY KICKED ME WHILE I WAS INJURED'
Speaking to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) about the incident, Ağurtan said: "Our sheep got lost yesterday evening. I was looking for the sheep around 6 in the morning. The soldiers started firing their guns towards me near the border. I was hit in the leg. I shouted at them and told them to take me to a hospital. I walked for around 15 minutes while I was injured. The soldiers approached me and started kicking me. I told them I was wounded. They said 'It's a good thing they shot you and continued to kick me. They told me I was fine and that Is hould wait until the villagers come get me. When they did, the soldiers didn't let them come near me for half an hour. Then the villagers took me and get me to Çaldıran."
'I WILL FILE A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT'
Being trested at the 100th Year University (YYÜ) Dursun Odabaşı Medical Center, Ağurtan said: "I don't accept this. This is a crime. They shot an innocent man. I was just lookign for my sheep. I will file a criminal complaint against those soldiers."
