ANKARA- METU Rectorate did not accept students to the campus on the grounds of not having a permit, before the lock down.
Middle East Technical University (METU) students were asked for permits before the curfew, while entering the school for May 1 Labour and Solidarity Day. Even though the lock down starts at 19.00 today, students were not allowed in the school with the decision of the ODTU Rectorate.
Students continue to wait at the campus gates.
RECTORATE STATEMENT
The Rector's Office sent an e-mail to the students regarding the lock down that will last from April 29 and end on May 17. In the mail sent by the Rectorate, it was said: "Students who do not stay in the dormitories and the Guesthouse will not be accepted to the campus unless they have permission documents during lock down. Visitors will not be accepted to the campus during lock down either."
