ANKARA - A summary was prepared agains Independent MP Ahmet ŞIk for his words about the the trustee rector during Boğaziçi University protests.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared a summary against Independent İstanbul MP Ahmet Şık to strip him of his impunity as an MP for calling the people to take to the streets and sent it to the Ministry of Justice. The Chief Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against Şık in February last year with the allegation of "public incitement to commit crimes".
WHAT DID AHMET ŞIK SAID?
Ahmet Şık made a statement after the students were who were detained for protesting the trustee rector Melih Bulu were released and said: "No one should believe that this government will be gone by the means of an elections. You can not fight against the mafia with law. Not with their laws anyway. In order to fight against a law that doesn't have universal legal norms, everyone must fulfill their civic duty, and unite in the fight against it. I will name names. No one should listen to Kılıçdaroğlu's call when he spoke at the parent's meeting. There is a very heavy burden here and these students should not be the only ones to shoulder it. We have to help them and lift that stone and throw it to them. The name of that stone is the palace regime."
