DİYARBAKIR – Soldiers who raided the village of Zorova in the Sur district of Diyarbakır battered and threatened the young people because of a graffiti.

 

The village of Zorova in Diyarbakır's historical Sur district was raided by soldiers yesterday. Soldiers gathered all the young people in the village square during the raid and battered and threatened them because of a graffiti on the wall that reads: "We loved life enough to die for it." 

 

When the villagers saw the soldiers beating and insulting a teenager, they tried to intervene, however the soldiers then threatened the villagers to build a police station in the village and cut their electricity.

 

Harassing the villagers for 6 hours, the soldiers detained 12 teenagers and took them away. The soldiers who took the teenagers to Diyarbakır and back to the village, threatened and insulted the teenagers along the way, as the teenagers explained.
