No news from detained Baloch women

NEWS CENTER - There is no news from the members of Baloch Solidarity Committee who were detained during the protests against enforced disappearances of Baloch people in Pakistan.

Pakistani forces attacked a demonstration against the enforced disappearances of Baloch people in Ketta, the administrative centre of Balochistan Province of Pakistan, on 21 March, killing 3 civilians and injuring 7 others. Baloch Solidarity Committee decided to hold a general strike in Balochistan province and rallies in every city on 22 March against the massacre of civilians. Pakistani forces attacked the protests and detained many women and children, including Baloch Solidarity Committee member and human rights activist Dr Mahrang Baloch and activists Beboo and Bebagar Baloch.
 
STATEMENT FROM COMMITTE 
 
Baloch Solidarity Committee announced in a statement that no news was received from 3 detained women. In the statement, it was noted that the women were concerned about their safety. The statement emphasised that activism is not a crime and demanded the location of the detainees and their immediate release.
 
On the other hand, Baloch people have been protesting for the release of the detainees for 2 days both in the cities and on virtual media.
