Latest status: Fire extinguished, cooling efforts continues

AMED - The fire that broke out last night between Xana Axpar and Şemrex districts has been extinguished, cooling efforts in the region continue. Thousands of acres of land turned to ashes.
 
Many neighborhoods, especially Tobiniye, Kelekê, Herberê and Dirine, were affected by the fire, which was reported to have broken out yesterday after a spark broke out from a power pole between Amed's Xana Axpar (Çınar) district and Mêrdîn's Şemrex (Mazıdağı) district. People, animals and trees were burned in the fire in the neighborhood. 
 
While the residents of the neighborhood and then the fire departments of the municipalities of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) intervened in the fire from the first moment, the fire, which was stated to have spread over at least 10 thousand decares of land due to the effect of the wind, went out on its own. Cooling efforts in the region continue.
 
Those injured in the fire continue to receive treatment in hospitals in Amed, Mêrdîn and Riha.
 
The animals that died and were injured at the fire scene are still kept in the land between Tobiniyê and Kelekê neighborhoods.
 
Thousands of tons of wheat and corn of the citizens were also damaged in the 10 thousand decare land.
