8 people detained in Eskişehir

ESKİŞEHİR - Eight members of TIP who protested the protocol for imams(religious men) to give lectures in schools were detained.
 
In Eskişehir, the members of the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) gathered in front of a shopping mall on İsmet İnönü Caddesi in the district of Tepebaşı, Hoşnudiye Mahallesi, to protest the protocol signed between the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of National Education and the mufti to hold a conference of imams in schools under the name of "spiritual values".
 
Police intervened in the mass and detained 8 people. Eight people, who underwent a health check at Yunus Emre State Hospital, were taken to the Eskişehir Police Department Security Branch for their statements.
